The good compromise?

We have driven the version xDrive 23d of BMW X1 (with automatic gearbox) which provides, as the 123d, the diesel engine 150 kW (204 hp) with technology BMW Turbo TwinPower and a common rail injection. This is a four-cylinder 1995 cm3 which has a torque of 400 Nm at 2 000 rpm.
And the performances are with go! The maximum speed (on tour … of course) is 205 km / h, the 0-100km / h is dispatched in 7.8 seconds and the application kilometers standing start 28.2 seconds.
However, (we’re on a site called sport-cars.fr …) the 123d in the same exercises, makes 238 km / h, 6.9 seconds and 27.2 seconds. The difference comes from both the weight (1485 kg for the 132D against 1685 kg for the X1) and aerodynamics (Cd of 0.31 to 0.33 against the 123d for the X1). If you are a « father who loves performance, these values are known.
But of course, the X1 offers versatility and roominess 123d which can not prevail.
And if that does not suit you, the range that is on offer will meet your expectations with BMW X1 xDrive 28i (258 hp), a X1 xDrive 20d and X1 BMW xDrive 18d a power of respectively 130 kW (177 hp) and 105 kW (143 hp). These engines also run the BMW X1 sDrive 20d and BMW X1 sDrive 18d which have a transmission to the rear wheels only.
Consumption side, BMW announced for xDrive23d (by U.S. standards) 7.8 liters per 100 in urban cycle, 5.5 liters per 100 in extra-urban cycle and 6.3 liters per 100 combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 167 g / km.
On road and track?
